View Full Version : Creatine question
PrizeFighteR Mon, March 6th, 2006, 08:44 PM Ok, so I'm new. Go easy.
I'm about to start my second cycle of Creatine, it worked pretty well adding 15 lbs to my 1RM [bench], my goal is a 25 more lbs. Is there anyway to maximize and gain even more this second cycle? I drink nearly a gallon of water a day, eat healthy, do full body workouts as well as bench, and get adequate amounts of rest. Anything else that will help me better achieve my goal?
Here is what I am on - http://www.nutritional-supplements.com/de_p_ref/4409/froog4409/EAS_Advantedge_HP_Creatine_Plus_Fruit_Punch.htm
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Prize.
bradh Mon, March 6th, 2006, 08:47 PM Quailty recovery drink.
Whey protein 25grams
Dextrose - 25grams
Maltodextin - 25grams
Creatine - 5grams
Sip that during your session and consume another one after your session if your lean, if not you could have one shake.

I've got some Whey protein, I'll try taking a shake during and after workout as opposed to just post workout. Thanks.
Anything else?

Squat and Deadlift! :D
1FastGTX Mon, March 6th, 2006, 09:15 PM Similar to Canada's post sort of.
I would try running the PWO meal as follows:
Protein Blend (whey is fine, I'm just seeing good results with Nitrean PWO) // Dextrose // Maltodextrin // Creatine // BCAA // Water
And squat and deadlift. :D
PrizeFighteR Mon, March 6th, 2006, 09:26 PM I can't squat and deadlift yet  . I'm getting a Gold's Membership soon. Thanks guys.
BTW I know that product is on the cheapside...is it good for what I want to do?

You can bench but you can't deadlift? Pick the bar up off of the bench and put it on the floor. :D
The product is fine. I think there are better ones out there, but it's fine.
bradh Mon, March 6th, 2006, 09:30 PM If your refering to the recovery drink its well worth it. Its the most important supplement in my opinion. Helps you recover faster and gets some carbs in your muscle where you want them.
Oh the creatine, looks like it has a good amount of sugar, probably get away with a bag of corn sugar if you continue to use it for your recovery shakes.

Why are you cycling creatine? There's no need to cycle.

I just don't have enough room in my basement :o . There is a Gold's right by my house so that problem will be solved shortly.

I heard if you constantly take it that your body will get to dependent on you supplying it and stop making it on its own. Also isn't bad for your kidneys if you don't take breaks? I'm very newbish to this stuff.

Many people disagree with you on this -- and there is some research to support the cycling of creatine.
