I tried to set up an avatar, but seem to be having some trouble. I noticed that Lisa has one, but thought maybe that is a mod icon. Can anyone else get one set up?

I tried putting the url in the "enter avatar url" space and it would not work, however when I used the "upload avatar" space below that- it worked just fine.
There are probably a lot of things that need to be fine tuned- John (who isn't home right now) will have to do most of that. I am quite the amatuer when it comes to all these customizations :)

Lisa, I think the forum is set to only allow moderators/administrators to use Avatars as it is now. Probably some rule set somewhere that needs to be changed, if you want to allow users to have avatars of course :)

I don't think I had an upload avatar area. I only head a check box with "no avatar" and it was selected. No big deal, I was just wondering.

I fixed the problem, and it should let you upload an avatar to the server now. For some reason the direct linking to an avatar via http doesn't see to be working, though. I think it may be a bug in the new software. I'll keep researching it, but in the meantime you can just upload your avatar to the server and use it that way.

I'm also going to add a bunch of avatars to select from as soon as I have time (heh).

EDIT: It looks like direct linking to an avatar on a remote server is not possible by design. Please just upload your avatar to this server and that should work great. Thanks.
