Hey, just wanted to know where all of my gamers are at here on the JSF Forums. Go ahead if you want and list your consoles and favorite games, and if you like if you have XBox Live or PlayStation 2 online (with your gamertag if you'd like) so we can meet up to play online sometime!

As for me, I have XBox, PS2, and of course PC, all online. My XBox gamertag is phr0zen0ne (zeros not Os) and I'm online occasionally on the weekends.

My current gaming roster is as follows:

1. Madden 2006 (XBox & Online (phr0zen0ne))
2. Guitar Hero (PS2) - great game by the way, includes guitar controller to rock out on! :guitar:
3. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (XBox & Online (phr0zen0ne))
4. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (XBox & Online (phr0zen0ne))
5. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 (PC w/Soaked! and Wild! Expansion Packs) - it's fun to make digital guests at your theme park fly to their deaths on a poorly constructed roller coaster.
6. Battlefield 2 (PC & Online (shotzaplenty))

Let's hear from everyone!

Anybody managed to get a 360? I love my prescious.....

The Final Fantasy Beta is impressive on it - although I hear the RTM might look a lot better.

I play BF2, Civ IV, and at times World of Warcraft (I have played on an off since the beta, but at the moment my account is suspended since I wasn't really playing much.)

I mainly play on weekends when I have more free time.

I'm going to date myself with this one.

The first game I ever loved was the Zork series on the Commodore 64, followed by the Ultima series. I never advanced with the game when it was multiplayer, online, etc, however, I just played it through part IV.

I picked up my enjoyment again when Doom came out.

When Quake came out, I joined a team of developers and designed a few mods, one called S.W.A.T. for Quake and another called Midnight CTF ... this earned a place in the "Who's Who in Quake" hall of fame, although I must admit, as much as I liked coding, it was the testing that I enjoyed the most.

I never got into Quake II.

Quake III arena was a blast, and then I stumbled across the Urban Terror mod. WOW. I played Urban Terror right up to the point when I decided to become an entrepreneur. After that I realized my free time was much better spent either with my family, God, or doing something that would improve me rather than just waste time.

It's not that I don't ever play games, but it's one addiction I've put on the shelf with drinking alcohol, overeating, and a few other vices from my past.

I think when I take up "playing" in my spare time again, it's going to be with a pool table instead of on the computer.

I have been a gamer for years!
I built a room in my basement just for gaming.
I sold off my XBox, PS2 and all my games to make room for the 360 and PS3. I have 2 360's and a dozen or so titles. It's an awesome system!

You aren't dating yourself, atleast not with me... heck we are pretty much the same age. I played C64 games... heck I even typed in Basic code from BASIC magazine to play C64 games. Loaded games off of audio tape. Notched my own discs (so you could use both sides).

Since my parents were teachers after the C-64 we got a Mac... so my gaming was limited to Sega and Nintendo console stuff.

I played Doom on my Mac in college. Then eventually switched to PC and made some gamer friends... played Command & Conquer. Then switched back to First Person Shooters. Eventually getting dragged in to Final Fantasy XI MMORPG. From there I went to City of Heros and World of Warcraft. As my gamer buddies and I all started getting married there was the division between those of us spending more time with our wives and those that were still "Power leveling" so people started to drop out of the MMORPG's.

I finally quit playing World of Warcraft when I realized I was just wasting time when I could be working on starting my own business. I still like to play when I would normally be doing my other favorite time sink... watching TV.

I definitely have to agree with you here Jeremy. In fact idling around watching TV and playing video games is probably the 2nd biggest reason the US is speeding down the obesity highway. I know several friends who are definitely video game addicts! I think everything should come in balance. Most of my playing and recreation consists of working out, sports (play in a softball league and play football at the park with the high schoolers,) poker, darts, and video games. I'm not a big billiards fan myself - I pretty much suck at it actually.

Since I work 9 hour days, have a 2 hour (total daily) commute from home to Downtown Houston and back, and hit the gym hard, there's just not much time in general for recreation in my life - kinda dissapointing!

Well I am happy to report that after 25 years, I have FINALLY 'turned over' Defender!

Does that count?

I just still play the classics, SNES and N64 mainly. Tecmo Super Bowl, NBA Jam, SMB, Battletoads! :D - now that they've got emulators those games have morphed into online multiplayer too, so it's still a lot of fun.

I've always been addicted to first-person shooters. I didn't play DOOM much...mostly because my computer was too crappy at the time to actually play DOOM, but once I got a decent (for the time) system...I started playing all sorts of FPS's.

Rise of the Triad -- Cool game ... creative weapons even by today's standards. Me and a friend used to play online over modems all the time. I abused the "wall of fire" weapon, and enjoyed burning the flesh off of my friend and watching his bones collapse in a heap of steaming charcoal. LOL!

Duke Nukem 3D -- An utter revolution in FPS gaming. Man, I logged so many hours on this game. After playing all the maps, me and friends used would play online against one another...and even trade different custom maps and play. Alot of fun.

Quake I -- Cool game...although a little dreary. Friends used to set up LAN's, and we'd all blast the hell out of each other.

Shadow Warrior -- This game was a ton of fun too...and one of the last games built with the "build" engine. You could slice bad guys in half, throw sticky bombs at people, climb on tanks and run over/blast people...all while being entertained by Lo Wang's perspicacious wit. Also, you could pick up fortune cookies along the way which provided nice little tidbits like -- "Fortune say: Baseball wrong. Man with four balls cannot walk". Way friggin' cool.

Blood -- Game built with the "build" engine. Pretty cool, and some nice weapons. Played multiplayer a few times on this too.

Here....took a haitus from game playing because of my crappy system....my home computer still sucks, but sometimes I log valuable time on my work computer playing games. Unfortunately, my work computer is a Mac, so i am pretty limited.

Unreal Tournament -- This is a fun game with some inventive weapons. I didn't really played online because I never really got good enough at this game to be competitive.

Quake 3 Arena -- Ok, this seriously killed about 2-3 years of my life. I only stopped playing a couple of months ago, and I am hoping not to fall back off the wagon. This is hands down the best online FPS I've ever played. Lots of fun ... The weapons aren't really all that creative, but they are very challenging to use well...which means that people never master the game so well that everybody can frag everybody else at will...like some of the earlier FPS's. I love this game with every fiber of my being.

Never really played CS...unfortunately...have never had a system capable of playing it.
