Pizza with ranch dip? How does that work? Is ranch diip in place of the sauce? Sounds intriquing (spelling)

I'm not a junk food person much but when I do its this thing called a Lobster Claw from Mikes Pastry in Boston. Its filled with I think riccota cheese but they add sugar to make it sweeeet.

Other than that its peanut butter.

You take a piece of pizza and dip it in buttermilk ranch dressing before each bite! :D It is a slice of heaven...er...pizza.

We are from the South and that means lots of wierd combos when it comes to food. You want anything deep fried with gravy on it, we can hook you up!

and bacon fat is NOT thrown away right?

ok I was thinking that you cooked with the dressing on it which I'm not sure if that would be good. Cooking mayo based products I think it not good but I'm not sure.

I throw it away because it makes me sick but my grandmothers cooked with it when my parents were growing up. I do know some people who will fry bacon in a pan and then scramble their eggs with the grease for flavoring. Once again, this makes me sick so I don't follow that trend. The important question is...have you heard of okra?

I've heard of it but never had it.

I wouldn't call this junk food, but its just plain EVIL.

It's basically fatty pork belly (in Chinese, we call it 3-layered pork, because there's like alternating layers of fat and meat, hmmm.. probably comes from the same area as bacon.). Braise it for hours, and eat it in a steamed bun....mmmmmmm.......... Its basically fat in a bun.....mmmmmmmmmm.....

For American food, it would be hard to beat a Krispy Kreme glazed donut....mmmmmmmmm.... :eat:

brownies
cheesecake - chocolate is the best, but any kind will do
pizza
cheese toast
pasta in cream sauce - but when I make my own, it's light

I love Dairy Queen's burgers and onion rings, but, as the nearest Dairy Queen is thousands of miles away, then obviously, I can live without them. Ditto for Tim Horton's donuts.

I guess I'd toss the sandwiches for mussels steamed in white wine, but the only thing that makes the mussels bad is the butter for dipping. Yum!

-Hot fudge and hot caramel double chocolate icecream sundae, with bits of chocolate on top. (god I love chocolate :D)

-Philadelphia cheesteak, although there are many variations my favorite is relatively simple with fried onions and american cheese. For who don't know what it is, it has thinly sliced beef chopped up on a grill mixed with fried onions and then the cheese melted over the pile, then you put all that into an Amorroso roll (a long tube shaped roll).

-Queso fries from a BBQ place down the street. It has cheese whiz style cheese mixed with red peppers, scallions and jalopenos topped on waffle cut frenchfries.

-Doritoes (use to eat bags)

-m&m's, my favorite thing to eat at the movies. I use to eat a whole bag of the size they typically sell in movie theaters. And I go to the movies a lot, at leat 3-4 times a month. I cringe now when I look at the nutrition facts, each bag had just under 800 calories and 30 grams of fat.

For beer,
Yuengling lager is my poison

Used to be:
Yuengling
Miller Lite
Steak
Pizza
Buffalo Wings

I used to eat pizza, taco bell, McD's, etc. all the time, and get massive cravings for them. Since visiting this site and implementing the diet/training to the full degree, I have no cravings for them. I enjoy a steak or a beer, but always keep my "cheating" in moderation. Stuffing my face isn't fun like it was before. I haven't had pizza since Januray.

Anyone else lose their cravings for junk food?

Junior Mints or After Dinner Mints (I will eat an entire bag of these in a movie theatre)
Twizzlers (also... gone before the previews are over)
Fresh Brownies with chocolate frosting (no nuts)
Ice cream with chocolate syrup or caramel
Large Frosty from Wendy's

Damn... that was a bad idea. I knew I shouldn't have contributed to this thread!!

I think I'm getting there.

Last night I stopped on my way home to get my husband a small pizza, beer, and ice cream (he's sick... it's what he wanted... ;) ). I actually wandered around the store looking at all sorts of off-plan food, thinking I might just get a pizza too, or some cookies, or chocolate. After 20 minutes I realized what I really wanted was my grilled chicken breast, baked sweet potato, and peas.

Who knew?

You people are insane :D

I don't *crave* junk anymore, but I certainly wouldn't mind having some- 'specially my faves. Dunno if I can make it another 12 days without cheating just a little.... (Apr 1 is the goal I've set for myself for no cheating....)

I still buy the junk food occasionally, I just don't feel like eating it.

My husband will stop at a gas station on the way home from somewhere for chips and a drink. If he asks if I want something, sometimes I tell him to get me a Mars bar. Then I don't eat it. If he didn't buy the Mars bar, I'd probably feel really deprived, but as long as I know I COULD eat it if I wanted to, then I'm fine.

I don't get excited about Chips and cookies, but if there is a good Spinach and Artichoke dip or some "cheesey" dip, I am all over it. Also, my 1 huge weakness is a Primanti Brothers sandwich. If anybody is from Pittsburgh, they know what I mean! Don't eat them too often, but always go there before the Steelers Games.

Dunno how junk food some of these are, but I certainly would be depressed if I couldn't eat them!

Chocolate
Peanut butter
Bread
Pizza
Chinese take-away

I uhmd a bit about putting whiskey, as I drink pretty much nothing else these days (er... I mean, when I go out, not instead of water ;) ). But if someone came up to me and said... pizza or whiskey (or whatever), I know which I'd go for! :)

Great thread.

This weekend I completely broke down and have been eating SO MUCH junk food. It's been great

Here's only some of what I've been eating.

- Cheese. LOTS and LOTS of cheese
- Ben and Jerry's Double Baked Ice Cream: Brownie w/ Cookie Dough
- Viva Puff Cookies
- Peek Freans Family Digestive Cookies
- Chocolate Truffle Cake
- Kosy Shack Rice Pudding
- Lindt Bittersweet Chocolate

Needless to say, I'll be working this stuff off all week. But you know what? I just don't care. It was worth it! :tu:

It's bad enough that I really love pizza, but I also happen to live in a college town. It's REALLY hard to get away from pizza here. I swear, every restaurant sells pizza in some form; every corner has a Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, whatever attached to it; I can't even go to Sam's Club without having to resist pizza. A discount warehouse makes some of the best pizza in town, who knew??

grrrr.... :)

Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies

Vanilla ice cream, but only if it's the really good kind. Of the mass-market ones, Ben & Jerry's is so freakin' good it should be outlawed. Also love it with chocolate chips or those cookie dough thingies or hot fudge- or all three!

Guinness

Hero/hogie/sub prepared precisely as follows:
Fresh Italian bread, a bit crisp on the outside
Thinly sliced Virginia ham
Smoked turkey
Sweet muenster cheese
shreeded lettuce and onions, copious amounts
tomato
a bit of spicy mustard or lite mayo
oil, vinegar, black pepper
pepperenchino peppers, sliced

Mexican food- mui caliente!

Hungry yet?
