Thank you. Bluestreak Wed, January 11th, 2006, 08:50 PM Cell Tech creatine? You can make the same concoction with 200-mg ALA capsules, some Gatorade powder, and el-cheapo creatine monohydrate. Mix the amount of Gatorade (sugar/dextrose) you need for your PWO shake, add the relevant dose you need of creatine, and break open the ALA capsule and mix it in as well. Down it. You've just make Cell Tech, and you'll have a supply that'll last much longer. Cell Tech is about $70 for a three week supply last I saw it on the shelf, and you can spend about $40 on ALA and monocreatine, another $4 for Gatorade powder, and it'll last MUCH longer. I wouldn't waste my cash on Cell Tech when I can make the same thing in a much greater quantity on my own. I've written this up on the forum many times in the past. Do a search. Best 'o luck with it... -R 1FastGTX Wed, January 11th, 2006, 08:54 PM ^^^ What he said. I think it's fine. I just think it's way too expensive. I also think it burns the crap out of my throat. :( doordude42 Wed, January 11th, 2006, 08:58 PM ^^^ What he said. I think it's fine. I just think it's way too expensive. I think all of Muscletech's products are over the top pricewise. dms2425 Wed, January 11th, 2006, 08:59 PM Well , I dont live in the us , so ordering the stuff you said by separate , the S+H on each one from the US to venezuela wich is where I live is almost the same as buying cell tech , is it a good supplement ? , I've taken creatine before and seen pretty good results, will cell tech be better than creatine or the results will be the same ? sc7389 Wed, January 11th, 2006, 09:16 PM All the pros use dat dere Celltech. ;] NEdge Thu, January 12th, 2006, 12:15 PM Well , I dont live in the us , so ordering the stuff you said by separate , the S+H on each one from the US to venezuela wich is where I live is almost the same as buying cell tech , is it a good supplement ? , I've taken creatine before and seen pretty good results, will cell tech be better than creatine or the results will be the same ? If you can get regular creatine and R-ALA I think you will be much better off. Take the R-ALA and creatine with a high carb meal before your workout and creatine afterwards with your PWO nutrition/shake if you want. Glaive Thu, January 12th, 2006, 02:39 PM I'm pretty positive that I read on bodybuilding.com somewhere that pre-mixing ALA with creatine negated its effects, something about exposure to air or something. Regardless I've never really heard much in the way of good things about MuscleTech products. I second the idea of just getting some creatine monohydrate and some good quality ALA. Bluestreak Thu, January 12th, 2006, 02:59 PM I'm pretty positive that I read on bodybuilding.com somewhere that pre-mixing ALA with creatine negated its effects, something about exposure to air or something. It's worked fine for me as a post-workout concoction for two and a half years now. Don't spread rumors, spread facts. The only thing I've read and heard from reputable sources, though I have no information to substantiate the claim, is that creatine shouldn't be pre-mixed with liquid until within an hour of consumption. Creatine is purported to quickly break down into creatinine, a human waste product, when mixed with water. Even this I find skeptical, as I've premixed shakes several hours in advance and knowing how I respond to creatine, I feel as though it has not been a hindrance. -R getgot211 Fri, January 13th, 2006, 01:41 AM well the only necessary ingredient is the creatine, ala is not needed. and carbs are not hard to come by. _OZ_ Fri, January 13th, 2006, 08:51 AM I'm pretty positive that I read on bodybuilding.com somewhere that pre-mixing ALA with creatine negated its effects, something about exposure to air or something. Cell-Tech propaganda! :) Honestly, the supplementation folks make money off of disinformation... otherwise, we'd all take Blue's advice and save big bucks on Supplements. Yes, some of the supplement companies do perform leading edge research, but after a year or so on the market, most of the 'special' ingredients are available for seperate purchase. Glaive Fri, January 13th, 2006, 02:31 PM I wasn't "spreading misinformation." I was just pointing out a possible concern that he might want to check out if he went with Bluestreak's plan. That's why I phrased it as "I think I read that...." versus "This will definitely have the result of..." I just spent several minutes searching around bodybuilding.com, so either I'm imagining things or it was on another site. It wasn't "supplement company propaganda" though, it was an article talking about how ALA and creatine worked well together, but combining them in advance like some supplement companies do was a bad thing for whatever reason I can't fully remember. I did not research it more at the time because I never planned on doing that myself or buying anything pre-mixed with ALA, so it was irrelevant to me. PAS Fri, January 13th, 2006, 02:34 PM I’ve used Cell-Tech for two months with okay results. However, what I didn’t like was having to take it the first thing in the morning on non-workout days, as instructed. Since you have to drink so much water after taking it, driving to work in traffic was a killer (I felt like my bladder was going to explode). Best of luck on your decision. |
