Is it not a good idea to work out when your sick? My lungs aren't feeling very healthy, hurts when I cough, and my throat hurts. I'm thinking that it will be ok to do max-OT but lay off the HIIT cardio.
Any thoughts on this would be very very welcome....cough

From the things I've read, it's not a good idea to work out when you have symptoms below the neck. Also, it's not a good idea to workout at a gym sick because you will infect other people there.

You might want to take some time off and give your body a chance to heal. I believe exercising when you're ill will make your recovery time longer. Enjoy a day or two off.

Yeah, I definitely have to agree with that, you have to allow your body to have some rest in order to heal more quickly. Also, when you're ill, drink a lot of water, works for me!

I almost always get sick when dieting. I have been dieting for over 3 months now and only got sick twice, but only for 2 days each time. Not like last year when I was dieting I got sick for 2 weeks. I think its just your body's way of telling you to settle down with the activity and not feeding it properly.

I came down with a cold a little over a week ago. Every morning I woke up praying it was gone, ready to either lift or do cardio, but I did not do it until all symptoms were gone except a minor cough (which I still have). It's better to take care of yourself for a speedy recovery than to let it drag on for weeks.
