Foley Tue, December 20th, 2005, 05:06 AM Hey,
Here is my second attempt at a diet plan:
Please comment / criticise :tu:
Thanks

PS: Calories might seem low. This is because I haven't taken into account the number for the Musashi WPI as I don't know them.
1FastGTX Tue, December 20th, 2005, 05:43 AM You're not eating enough, I think.
That's a lot of bread for my taste, but probably not too much for many people.
MEAL 1: Try to reduce the fat in this meal perhaps, but make up for it elsewhere. You need more healthy fats.
Eat more veggies.
Since you're going to bed close to after your workout, I'd do this after lifting - immediately have that whey protein and mix in dextrose or some other carb source (some like oats, not me personally but it might be ok). Then 45 minutes later have chicken and brown rice.
Foley Tue, December 20th, 2005, 06:32 AM 1. For breakfast, could I have just 1 egg or maybe none at all, and have some olive oil with one of the other meals?
2. So for Post WO have Whey protein etc. Then have chicken and brown rice and veggies for dinner??
karatetricker Tue, December 20th, 2005, 09:26 AM What are your stats, height, weight, approx. bf%?
Either way though, you're 15. Stop counting calories.

You can change the way you are without counting everything you put into your mouth.
It's not that it's bad to do so, I just really feel unless you are severely obese, which at 5'11 and 182 lbs I don't think you are, at 15 years old you should be a little less strict. Eat healthy, exercise, have fun and you will see good things happen. I don't know what your current diet looks like, but if you're so sick of being the way you are, I bet just changing your eating habits will do wonders for you.
Foley Tue, December 20th, 2005, 09:46 AM I don't think I do enough exercise but hey I do my best.........
Going to the gym more often now.......
I might not be obese but I don't like they way I look.
Most guys my age want huge muscles and 6 pack, same for me :tu:

I know, there is nothing wrong with that. I was and still am the same way. :)
However, you are young and growing and by eating too few calories, you will not help your cause.
Also, you're a teenager and supposed to be able to go out and have fun and not have to worry about counting every bit of food that touches your mouth. It's okay to do, as long as you don't let it consume you and I'm not sure a 15 year old has the maturity to do so properly.
If I were you, I would make healthy choices when you choose what to eat and try to exercise daily. By healthy choices I mean, grilled chicken over hamburgers, hold the mayo, cheese, bacon, etc. Choose light dressings on salads. Drink diet drinks and water, no sugared drinks. When you order dessert, get a small serving or only eat half. Etc.
Good luck!

I didn't realize he was 15 or I would have said the same thing. :tucool:
Dude, listen to KT, he's speaking the truth. You can eat a lot more than you think. But get your butt to the gym. Hit the weights hard. You can do so much right now at your age.
Foley Tue, December 20th, 2005, 01:14 PM Why does age matter?
And ok... I have been going a lot recently but I lose my energy quick, especially the Cardio.........

Testosterone levels will be really optimal for you for the next few years, that's my major reason why.
You are more able to be active with the many sports you can participate in, without having to sit on your butt at a desk all day like most of the members here. :)

Just work on it, it will get better. You better be lifting weights, it is more important than cardio. Yes, I said it. Weightlifting is MORE important than cardio.
Make sure you lift weights, it's more important than cardio.
karatetricker Tue, December 20th, 2005, 01:28 PM Lift weights. Do cardio. Join school sports/club sports. Join an outside of school sport. Take martial arts classes.
Stay active. Make healthier choices when you can. Drink water. You'll do great!
Foley Tue, December 20th, 2005, 04:44 PM We will see
Thanks a lot
handle Tue, December 20th, 2005, 05:57 PM I'm 16, 5'11 and started off at 174-176 (at 20-21%). I eat approx. 2000-2800 calories a day for my cut and after four months, I am 157 pounds (13-14% bodyfat). I've seen only strenght gains and fat loss. If you cut your calories THAT low, your going to lose a bunch of muscle and since your still a teen, you want to eat enough for growth in your overall body (puberty-wise and muscle-wise). Eat more, don't keep track of calories at this age. Eat healthy, no need to plan out your meals if you have healthy stuff at your house. Eat vegetables, buy some whey protein, eat chicken breast, lean beef, less bread, etc.
Demon Knight Tue, December 20th, 2005, 06:03 PM I know what you feel like mate. I remember back when I was 15 (not so long ago) and dying to lose weight. The others are right though, don't count calories. You can try a simple method like the Body for Life program i.e. 6 meals a day, 1 portion of carbs (i.e.rice) and one portion of protein (i.e. chicken) per meal. Have lots of veg and at least one tablespoon of good, healthy oil such as olive oil. Remember to have your day off i.e. eat anything day!!! At your age though, you can just concentrate on eating healthy (stuffing your face with more salad than chips) and often so you don't get into a bad hunger craving fast food junk and candy. You'll lose weight. Avoid quick fix diets like atkins. Did it, lost 20 lbs then gained it all back when started eating normally again. Eat often, eat healthy, do exercise you ENJOY!!!! Then sleep.....:tu:
