Ok, so i decided to use in my diet a whey protein supplement, now i have a few questions

I divided my food intake in 5 parts
7am, 11am, 3pm, 6pm, , 9 pm

Now i go to the gym Monday - Friday at 1pm

Now, when do u reccomend i take the supplement
a) 11 am before workout and 9 pm?
b) 7 am and 9 pm?
c) 7 am and 11 am?

Should i take the supplement alone or with something else (food)
Should i take the supplement with low fat milk or water ? (its chocolate flavored)

Saturday and Sunday when i dont excercise, just a little on the treadmill, should i take the supplements?

When cutting/losing fat, water is best. I only use milk in the mornings.

Unlike other suppliments, Whey's purpose is to provide basic nutrition. So treat Whey like any other food item: use it alone or with other food, whenever you need it, to get a steady supply of protien throughout the day. Really, it depends on how it fits in with the rest of your diet. I genereally have one serving in the morning and one at night.

i suggest the whey about an hour pre and then immediately post workout if you can schedule it. the advantage of whey is that it's digested quickly so it will provide the protein to your muscles while you are working out, then for your recovery.

OK, so what about this, at 11 am, only the supplement, then gym, and then 9 pm, only supplement and go to sleep??

if you are not going to do pre and post work out shakes, I suggest you do post instead of pre.
after the work-out is the most important time to take whey protein.

not sure if i understand - are you avoiding drinking the shakes for 2 consecutive mealtimes? (pre and post workout?) basically, pre and post workout nutrition are very important. if you don't give your body what it needs when it needs it, its almost like the workout is a waste. post workout and 9pm is ok but pre and post would be best.

for the other question - you should consume enough protein every day to support muscle growth. your body is still growing when u are not in the gym so even on weekends when you don't weight train, getting enough protein is just as important, whether you get it from shakes or from whole foods.

OK the thing is this, since i live in mexico, and i go to the gym at 1 pm, most families here tend to have the "BIG meal at around 3 pm" this meaning that the meal at 3 pm consists of soup, salad, meat etc, and what we call dinner is more like a soft snak, one sandwich or some cereal you get what i mean, so if i drink a shake at 11 pre work out, then go to the gym at 1, then go to my house and have the "big meal" i dont think i will want a chocolate drink with that. So thats why i want to take the shake as my last meal at 9 pm with nothing else...what do you think??
