There're these Premium protein bars that have 31g of Protein and only like 8 gr of Carbos, but they taste just as good if not better than Snickers/etc. I'd say for anyone with a sweet tooth you DEFINITELY need to pick these up...yum!

How much of that 8g is sugar?
Everyone says the Snickers Enegery Bar = Glorified Candy Bar, so to be better then that isn't saying much.

well i didn't mean snickers energy bar, I just meant snickers or milky way, etc.

All 8 are sugar. Kinda crappy but for me that isn't an issue as much as the 30 g of Protein.

An energy tag on any sort of food can mean anything, literally. Energy can mean protein, carbs, fat, caffeine, whatever, its just something to make a product look better then it really is. I'm off to eat my plain energy oatmeal now, and after that, I'm going to down a glass of energy soy milk.

I just bought me a box last night as well. I'm not sure if these a good substitutes for meal replacements because of the high calorie and fat and carbs. What do you guys think? Are Protein bars a good substitute for meal replacement? I mean, 31grams of protein is not easy to come by.

I mean, 31grams of protein is not easy to come by. I don't know about yours, but 1 can of tuna = 37g. Granted, it's not exactly as portable as that bar. It also won't be as tasty (let's be honest) but it's certainly got to be 'cleaner'.

I eat one of the Premier Nutrition Bars for lunch #2 (i'm on 6 meals a day). They are plenty filling with only 2-3 hours between meals. Wouldn't want to go longer than that however...
