So about a week ago I was in my weightlifting class doing leg presses and on the last rep of my last set I jerked my head back and hit it on the pad. It hurt like a son of a bitch and Gave me this killer headache for about an hour. Now for the past week, whenever my bloodflow is increased by some kind of physical activity (working out, lifting some heavy stuff at work, etc) the headache comes back.
If this keeps going like this for another week or 2 I am going to see a doctor definitely... I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone before and what their results were?

You've likely experienced a superficial truma ie: you bruised the area (I knew watching Dr. Nick on the Simpsons would come in handy: "see that area there......all trauma" ;) )
Also, don't hold your breath....which will severely increased blood pressure. 'Course on exertion and holding your breath you could get the opposite effect: valsalva maneuver....where you actually become temporarily hypotensive as part of an autonomic response....under exertion you will experience a pressure drop if you hold your breath....hence light-headness.

Gordo beat me to it. DEFINITELY exhale on the push or pull part of the excercise. Also, don't do this > :bang: ................:D

Damnit! I knew I was doing something wrong :P
todays workout was a lot better . The headache was still there but it was not nearly as bad. Hopefully it will be gone by the end of next week :)
