View Full Version : I think i finally found my protein supplier.
bradh Tue, November 15th, 2005, 01:52 AM Hey guys, while i was going to order some ALN protein blend in a few weeks i happen to find this site.
Its Canadian so the shipping fees will be very low compared to any US company and i won't have to wait 4 or 5 weeks for it to arrive. I also won't have to pay custom fees, i've been nailed with custom fees the last few times i ordered from the US.
Anyway i have a question:
This company actually lets you order a customize package IE i get to decide what types of protein i want, carbs, and other addons.
I'm looking to have something like Nitrean, that being a protein blend. It will be for general use not specifically for PWO.
For you nutritionists :) what do you think i should ask for?

I'm looking to keep 5lb to around $40.
Thanks
Hort Tue, November 15th, 2005, 07:07 AM True Protein is a good site. Prices are a little higher but the convenience of getting exactly what you want is handy. I know several folks who order their whey/maltodextrin/dextrose pre-mixed in bulk from them.

bradh Tue, November 15th, 2005, 06:10 PM So any suggestions on the contents i should choose?
I was thinking of mostly whey concenrate with small percentages of all the different types of protein?
Maybe a little malto. Doesn't whey have amino acids in it or should i include that also?
thajeepster Tue, November 15th, 2005, 11:16 PM true protien is great... i also recommend protein factory, I use them alot for my milk/egg/casein blends and my pwo blends. Great stuff. Prices arent that much more considering the fact that you can pick and choose what you want to suit your needs.
Hort Wed, November 16th, 2005, 03:52 PM I personally like to keep the carbs and whey separate so that I don't have to have two separate whey tubs. However, If I was going tis route, I'd probably do:
50% whey isolate (choose your flavor)
25% dextrose (plain)
25% maltodextrin (plain)
and MAYBE add glutamine depending on the price.
I'd make that my PWO mix.
Then I'd have a separate batch of just the isolate.
1FastGTX Wed, November 16th, 2005, 05:56 PM TP gets absolutely great reviews, and I've been tempted to try them out. The only trouble I have with them is the many PMs and emails I get from people telling me to try them out. I am assuming they have some kind of a referral system in place, because I get messages all the time from people spamming me about it. It gets annoying.
That's not necessarily their fault though. Supposidly they have a good product line. It's an interesting twist, though compounding supplements is NOT anything new. It's been done in the pharmacy business for a few years now, I wondered how long it would take for supplement manufacturers to go this route. There's a pharmacy here downtown that sells supplements/vitamins and does compounding. They run your bloodwork, see where your "deficiencies" are, then compound the products for you in accordance to your needs. They do this with their scripts too I believe.
Personally I prefer mixing my pro/dex/malto myself and it's no trouble. Plus TP doesn't sell Nitrean so... :D
