Ok, i thought i would come to you guys for yet more advice as you will have a better idea of what i do.

I returned to the hospital today as i have been having really bad pains with a fair bit of my body, mainly my abdomin, to my groins and in my lower back. I explained i do cardio and weights on a regular basis. I was asked today how long i have had the problems/pains for and the consultant advised me not to do any exercise at all, as he feels it is putting me under more stress, especially when they do not know what it is, and even more so when there seems to be a lot of pain within my body.

He also said that the time from the first pain to basically now, i have carried on training, ok through pain, which i probably shouldn't have done, but he did say that i shouldn't have done weights and stuff because i could be further harming myself, can't undo that now though can i.

Basically, i am wondering what to eat basically, whilst i am having an advised 4 weeks off whilst they run tests and so forth, i don't want to balloon up as it were. I was thinking maybe making sure protein is adequate, and drop the carbs a fair bit as i won't need them for energy around workouts and stuff.

Any more advice? ? ? It's a right pain the backside to be fair, i had to have time off in the past due to knee operations, and i get real stressed with not training.

Thanks all

Gaz.

I am by no means a guru BUT I would say to really watch what you eat. If you eat lean you will stay lean!

As for the pain I had a similar problem last month. It turned out to be a inflamation problem DOWN THERE! The Doc said its common in men my age. Ididnt think it was because I never heard about it, But Then I realized i wouldnt be telling anyone about it either!:nono: But the Doc put me on a antibiotic and with in about three weeks I was 100% Except for the hernia they discoverd after:doh:

try to eat around maintainance and eat healthy.
stay away from sugars and you should be fine.

make sure you do whatever the doctor says.
to be honest - i dont like the sound of these symptoms...

Hi mate, yeh, that's why i am taking it very, very easy...

I don't like giving in and stop training really but i have been advised by the medics, and they will know best i guess.

What sort of protein, fats, carbs do i need to take in do you think? ? ? What do i need to keep high, low, moderate, etc...? ? ?

Thanks again

Right oh buddy, thanks a lot for that, will probably taper carbs off pretty low, no activity, no need for energy really is there, apart from a little bit to see me through the day.

When you say moderate fats buddy, what do you suggest? ? ? 20%? ? ?
