I'm not concerned with him losing weight, just giving him healthy options. My main concern is giving him healthy options.

First of all, it is *he* who must have the desire to change his lifestyle. Even his son can only point him in that direction through, perhaps, example. From what you outlined, his current lifestyle is a recipe for disaster. Is he aware of what he is doing to himself and does he have a desire to change? You may want to share the senior web site in my sig as a possible start to let him know that a healthy lifestyle is possible well after 50, 60, 70 and even 80. BTW, I will turn 71 next month.
