Right started out on September the 25th at 181 pounds, was steadly Losing two to three pounds a week, and as the amount of cv and weights was becoming more intense, I have been slowly upping my calories.
This week I weighed myself after a clean week, after increasing the number of meals to five....and I only lost 1/4 of a pound....why is this?

I currently weigh 164 pounds and this is my daily food

7.30 am 1/2 cup oatmeal with skimmed milk
10.00am Whole wheat bagel with Large chicken brest and salad
1.00pm Large Chicken Breast and salad
3.30pm Whole wheat bagel with 124g of tuna
7.00pm "good for you" ready meal

I know the ready meal shouldnt be there but its a slow and steady change for me..and thats next on my hit list

Currently having about 1800 calories, and 160g protein

Any advice?:tu:

its quite likely that the upping of the calories and the weight lifting intensity has caused you to gain muscle and lose fat. Try not to rely on the scale and judge based on the mirror, the scale can be confusing and often leads to people giving due to what they assume is lack of change.

OK Thanks Lefty, this is what i suspected but thought it was quite difficult for this to happen generally....

Think ill stick with things the way they are for a couple more weeks and see what happens....

Anybody got any suggestions, on what else I can do to keep the weight coming off...

I am 5'8 and drink about 4 litres of water a day or more

Schedule workout wise consists of

Sunday Weights, Back, shoulders and Bi's

Monday Thirty Minutes Running (intermitant training) Increasing each week, And Abbs

Wednesday Thirty Minutes Running (intermitant training) Increasing each week, And Abbs

Thursday Weights, Chest And Tri's, Thirty Minutes Running (intermitant training) Increasing each week

Agreed with the prior poster in all respects. Also want to make the point that you have lost very close to 10% of your initial body weight, which is where the scale seems to stall for a lot of people (don't ask for statistics, but it seems to me that this happens to a lot of people).

FWIW, it happened to me at 218 lbs. I started at 242. 10% of starting weight, while on a lifting and cardio program.

The scale isn't lying, it's just not telling the whole story. You are obviously making progress, it's just not showing up on the scale at this point.

Keep it up. This is just your body getting ready for further progress.
