Sure, not that i've done it but stop drinking water and drink lots of black coffee and hit the sauna but i doubt you'll be in very good shape by sat. Cut out carbs. You will need to eat thou with no water, you will have to get it from food. Protein and fats.

Take my advice with a grain of salt. I agree you should stop water intake probably 48hours or so from the weight in. Drink black coffee it will flush more water out of your system. That's the only way you will lost that much weight IE water weight in that amount of time in my opinion.

Eat chicken, leafy greens, turkey, meat etc I wouldn't eat many carbs.

Maybe some of these principals would help?

I probably shouldn't even be replying this is not really a good idea but people do it. I'm just using my knowledge of general nutrition, which isn't near has much has some on JSF.

John can you put one of those disclamiers under my posts?

I agree with Canada - cutting weight like that IS NOT GOOD! BUT...if you need to make weight for a match - the best way aside from the right way of slow dieting/weightloss which could take weeks - and let me say it one more time, what I am about to say is NOT SAFE - eat extremely clean up until 48 hours before the weight in. 48 hours before cut your food way back - but don't starve yourself - lock yourself in a sauna and do jumping jacks, any kind of movement - but be prepared you will need to be in there for quite some time (you may also want to wear a sauna suit or layers of clothes). If you do happen to lose 9 lbs - thats the easy part - after that - 24 hours before eat even lighter and get back in that sauna until you are a few pounds under for the weigh in. You can't eat or drink until the weigh in, because anything into your body will add weight, and possibly a considerable amount because you will be starved and dehydrated. After weigh in SLOWLY rehydrate yourself.

The problem with doing this is you will be weak - even if you have a day to recoop, you will still be weak - this kind of weight loss is used all too often for professional fighting and wrestling and its just not good. If you fight at 152 - you will be more competitive if you normally stick around or even a tad below that weight and not go through vicious weight cutting.

Look at it this way - your body is made up of what 60% water or something like that - what you are doing is pretty much killing all that water for a few lbs of weight - which will come right back on, but while doing it you are risking MANY health issues.

Good Luck with whatever road you choose - but BE CAREFUL either way and plan ahead for the next match so you dont need to do this.

dont cut your weight - it's too late.
the methods nessessary to cut your weight that far that fast will lower your energy to the point where a lower weightclass will be of no advantage.

you're 20% bf.
work on getting that down to 8% before the next wrestling season.

i lost 10 lbs over 10days by doing fasted HIIT 5 days, and fasted weights + 14 minutes of hiit the other 5. Then i crashed and binged the following week!

probably 5lbs muscle and 5lbs fat.... it was bad news, but hey whatever

Drink lots of water for the next 8 days and keep salt intake in check and calories low. The last day or two cut back on water, accordingly. No need at all to keep water low until the end.

You could give SwoleCat's '7 Days to Ultimate Leaness' a shot. You can find it in the fat loss forum. One time won't hurt you. But I don't think you should do it before every wrestling meet. In the future, just drop carbs and deplete water the two days before the weigh in. Don't mess with the maniputlation and carb loading. Come to think of it, you wouldn't want to do the carb-loading phase this time either. But you could do salt manipulation if you wish.

Drink distilled water until a couple days before match, then stop drinking water and drink black coffee. Eat no carbs at all, eat no sodium at all. Lotsa exercise too! That will drop Alot of water quickly, maybe a little fat and muscle too :( Not very healthy but for a match I guess its ok. Go back to eating healthy after the match tho! Get to 8% like wh0areume said and you will kick ass!:D

All wrestlers have to cut weight. As long as you realize the difference between losinng fat and temporarily losing water, you can take the risk.

It seems like you're just about there.
