Okay, I've reached a plateau in my weight-loss plan, so I'm going to try to keep a record of my weight and thoughts online as encouragement to myself...
About my plan:
I started a serious weight-loss plan January 2nd. I first saw John's site about a week later and was very impressed - it reinforced my belief that sustained weight-loss was possible. Looking around the forums, it seems that John has inspired lots of people (it's possibly becoming a cult ;) , but bear in mind that but not all cults are bad).
So, I'm eating a 40-40-20 mix of carbs, protein, fat. I try to work out at the gym at least three times a week (weights) and to do at minimum of 30 minutes moderate exercise on non-gym days (rollerblading, cycling to work, even walking at a good pace).
My progress:
Over January-February, I dropped from 101 kg to 92 kg. This was really encouraging. This month, my weight has hovered between 91 and 92... I've had no major change in diet or amount of activity, and I haven't noticed a significant improvement in muscle definition...
My goal:
I'm not certain what my ultimate goal is. In the medium term (let's say by June), I'd like to get to 85 kg. Longer-term, I'd probably like to go lower, perhaps to 80 kg. I don't know what my body fat percentage is now - I'll try to work it out this weekend and start recording that too. With that data, I should be able to clarify my goal(s)...
