Hello. I regularly exercise 6 days a week, and since Tuesday I have had a stomach bug (along with my 18 month old son). For the first time this year, I have had to take two involuntary days off of exercising in order to get over this bug. I feel much better today, and I hope to get back to my workouts tomorrow. My question is, how should I go about this? While two days off isn't extremely unusual for me, I haven't been eating that much and this bug has made me quite weak. Should I allow another day to rest, or just get on my treadmill and do what I can without overdoing it? I am eager to begin my routine again, but don't want to kill myself. Any advice is appreciated!!!

If it's just a "bug" like you mentioned, it could just be a 24 or 48-hour virus. You may feel like a million bucks tomorrow (though unlikely). I would say if you have enough energy and are adequately hydrated, to go S L O W and gauge how you feel. But no matter what, I wouldn't go all out on your first day back.
