I strained my rotator cuff a few years back. Now I am about to start playing basketball and was hoping to get a brace for it. I reinjure it sometimes if I have to reach for the ball and my arm gets hit. I've seen football players play with shoulder braces, and I was thinking there would be one for basketball players as well. Does anyone know of one that would work for me?

Most braces used for football prevent the player from reaching over their head. I don't think it would work for B-ball.

Doordude is corerct. They limit overhead motions of the arm, usually you can't get your arm above parallel. I'm not sure off the top of my head what braces exist that would allow you to play ball, but I know there are some.
