if this needs to be moved to the nutrition forum, i request that a mod do so. but my diet is specific for cutting.

I generally eat the same stuff almost everyday.

13oz can of chicken
brown rice or beans or oatmeal or pretzels
can of tuna
lots of almonds
1lb of brocolli
3 scoops or protein powder, maybe one in the am and 2 at night
fish oil of flaxseed capsules

i might eat an apple every once in a while, but will my body somehow adapt to this? its a rather diverse diet, im not eating tuna all day or chicken all day- i know 3 scoops of protein throughout the day might be redundant, but im in a dorm and i dont have a kitchen to use, or much space (it is by far the most cost and space efficient thing i eat).

will this hurt me long term by not having a more diverse diet? i dont eat in that order, i put my carbs in around my workouts, which are every other day. i have some carbs before i run (every other day), then the second meal after ive done. Could anyone share their insight? it would be much appreciated

That diet is about as exciting as staring at a wall for an hour. :p

Hey, if you can maintain a diet like that, go ahead, it won't hurt you. I do think the lack of variety can cause hell on you mentally, but like I said, maybe you can stick to it. If you can, then go ahead, eating the same things each day shouldn't cause much of a problem.

How many calories does it come out to? It doesn't seem like a whole lot.

My only suggestion would be to replace maybe one of those shakes with some real food. 3 protein shakes/day when cutting is a bit excessive.

i am eating 2000 calories a day. I usually have 2-3 protein shakes a day because i am in college and have very little money... i already spend like 3.50 a day on the brocolli tuna and chicken... i cant do much better than that unfortunately, heh.... yea im sticking with it- ive been on and off the wagon a couple times and i finally realized that sticking with it isthe only thing that will make me feel good... binging on food because i couldn't resist the urge wasnt the answer i needed... plus it was super unhealthy. thanks for the response
