Hello everyone,
I own a Weider 8920 Home Gym. It utilizes a cable and pulley system that works in conjunction with a weight carriage (holds standard plates).
Now, according to the manual, if you put 95lbs of plates on the carriage, it's the same as lifting 190lbs on the press arm exercise.
My question is: are these estimates even close to being accurate? Does the pulley and cable system really magnify the weight as the chart suggests? I don't have a regular bench anymore, so it's really hard for me to tell or test for comparison with free weights.
