View Full Version : What's your favorite Protein Food Ranger17 Sun, January 25th, 2004, 04:58 PM I'm forever finding new foods w/ tons of protein. Shrimp, Tilapia, Chicken....never ends. Whats your fav? How do you prepare it? Jonesy Sun, January 25th, 2004, 06:36 PM I've got alot. Definately seafood! Also chicken, turkey, cottage cheese, and every once in awhile I'll treat myself to a peanut butter and bannana sandwhich on wheat right after my workout! Along with a glass of vanilla soy milk! :eat: mattias Mon, January 26th, 2004, 05:05 AM My absolute favourite is defatted soy"chunks" :). 80% protein, good neutral taste, excellent for marinating and so. Well, after that I believe it's good ol' soy beans.. a little hard for the stomache, but a nice source of vegetabilic protein. But defatted soychunks with 80% protein makes out the biggest portion of my protein intake. Jim Mon, January 26th, 2004, 08:38 AM Tuna. I could eat it right then and there, I love it. Favorite ways to prepare it is with white rice and tuna with some veg. Or a sandwhich with low cal mayo (1 tsp) and onion on wheat bread. U2rocks Mon, January 26th, 2004, 11:08 AM cottage cheese or protein pudding! bolo Mon, January 26th, 2004, 11:27 PM tuna chicken breast red snapper octopus lean steak protein shake pooh Tue, January 27th, 2004, 02:44 AM since eliminating red meat from my diet, partially due to health reason, and partial due to religious reasons, i've noticed a great liking to DETOUR bars. =] map200uk Tue, January 27th, 2004, 04:46 AM hmm i quite like pain old chicken, got so used to it now..i cant not like it:) shakes are good too (although the first lot of whey i had made me feel sick) , that was when i used muscletech whey (before i knew how bad mt were) now i use reflex, which is bareable. NME Tue, January 27th, 2004, 08:10 AM A good steak or salmon. But I eat 2 chicken breasts a day, so as you might imagine, I rather like chicken as well. CattleProd Tue, January 27th, 2004, 11:30 AM Tuna is ok, and I made some awesome chicken in the crock-pot this past weekend, but my favorite has to be my whey-protein shakes (particularly the vanilla, haven't tried mint-chocolate). I first had the shake with water, and quite frankly I thought it was disgusting. I then switched to having it with skim milk, and it was delicious. I've since weaned myself off of the milk, but do allow myself to splurge once in a while. -CP map200uk Tue, January 27th, 2004, 06:14 PM Tuna is ok, and I made some awesome chicken in the crock-pot this past weekend, but my favorite has to be my whey-protein shakes (particularly the vanilla, haven't tried mint-chocolate). Mark BlackBeauty Tue, January 27th, 2004, 07:15 PM I loooooove chicken. Just call me the chicken girl. I hardly touch lamb or pork and only started eating beef a few years ago for the first time (religious/family reasons). Evil Hx Coupe Wed, January 28th, 2004, 12:06 AM Grilled chicken breast in the oven is the one I like the most.... It's what I eat for lunch and dinner everyday... |
