After looking over another brad pitt post i searched around the net for body Measurements of the older bodybuilders, which look WAY better than the present assisted ones to me. I like Reg Park, looks about my bodytype. However, i only looked at a dozen or so.

Anyway, what's an impressive waist? I just measured mine just above the naval and its a sad 40' (not on an empty stomach) and my arms is just under 17' which i thought was a little bigger.

What kinds of goals do people have in respect to measurements? I see mostly bodyfat goals.

Would a 32' waist with 18' arms be impressive? For a 205 to 220 pounder? That's my goal weight 205 but its flexible of course and just something i've taken out of air basically at this point.

Thoughts?

How good a measurement looks on a person depends a lot on their overall height, size of frame, and surrounding musculature. As well, of course, how low their BF% is.

How tall are you? Wrist size? Bone structure? Waist size at 8% or less BF?

I know, for my own body at 5'9" with a 30-32" waist and a small bone structure, 16" arms will look pretty big. And 17-18" will look huge.

I'm 6'0 with a big bone structure and naturally big legs, 220lbs. I would say i'm about 18 to 20 percent bodyfat probably 20. Most of it is on the front/bottom part of my stomach i don't have much fat on my sides, pretty slim. Maybe a 35" waist would do the trick. I'm going to start to measure my waist more often. 5" is probably no easy task.

Thanks

If you keep your existing LBM and cut down to 8% BF, you'll be about 195.6. So, looking at your body as it is now, do you think if you lost the extra fat you are carrying and added 10-15 more lbs of muscle to your existing muscle, you would look how you want to? You should have 18" arms by the time you've added that amount of muscle.

It sounds like a 34-35" waist would be a good goal. I don't know how much lower than that you'll physically be able to go.

I think you'll look pretty damn good, but maybe even another 5-10 lbs would make you look really damn good. :tucool:

Ok i get it, never really thought about bodyfay percentages. 200pounds at %12bodyfat would be great. That's about 175LBM. Probably add some more muscle.
