Now that I ordered it, my question is this. When I get it, do I dive in full force or do I start with just a little a day? Is there any cramping or side effects or anything I should expect. I would appreciate any help on this. I am trying to do the 40-40-20 diet. My weight is now 206. So I am trying to eat 2000 calories. So how do I figure out the percentage of protein. Sorry for being so ignorant, but I need the help. Thank you in advance.

I should probably let all the other "All the Whey"'rs handle this question, but since I'm posting a lot today... :D ...

I noticed an increase in gas (flatulence) with whey protein. John told me to try a whey isolate, contending that whey protein has been found to increase gas and bloating with some people. This may help. In my case, I decided to tough it out (I suspected a flu at the time), and I don't suffer near as much anymore. I've been on whey protein for almost 9 weeks now.

I'd suggest that you use as much as you need (no more than 2-3 servings) to supplement your protein - after all, that's really what it's for. If you take it with water, most whey protein (with one scoop) should give you around 24 grams of protein. If you do this twice a day, that's almost 50 grams of extra protein a day. This helps your diet of macronutrients a LOT!

You're just slightly lighter than I am (I'm around 210), so we'd have close to the same diet...you should try using John's food journal (http://www.johnstonefitness.com/misc/transformation.xls) as a guide for yourself.

Hope this helps!

Ken

That's a great help. Thank you. I did order the isolate. So we'll see how much difference it makes. Thanx
