hi all, my first post, anyway, a while back 3-4 months ago i hurt my wrist doing something at my job. i thought it was normal since the type of work i do. (production welding) thinking it would get better as time went by, i was wrong my wrist still bothers me. i had it checked by a doc and he tells me that it seems like tendonitis. at first it was kinda painful to move it around and lift heavy objects. but i can lift most things now. when the injury occured i may have been loosening or tightening a bolt and when the tool or bolt gave, that is when i sustained my hurt wrist. well i noticed on my left wrist, looking at the palm of my hand the lower right of where the wrist twists. i believe this is where the ulna is. i have what my doc told me is an inflamed tendon. so there is a slight hump there. im now second guessing the doc cuz this hump hasnt gone away. there is a grinding/poping noise when i push on the ulna and twist the wrist. i can make a fist, move all my fingers no real pain or that i can tell that it hurts at all doing most everyday things. but if i twist my wrist i can feel a definate pain, or when lifting something heavy and holding it for a while. i can still do my 50 push ups, my max 14 pullups. but on the pullups i dont really feel pain in the wrist but i can tell thers something there. if that makes any sense. the doc didnt do x-rays, cause he thinks its just some mild tendonitis. what else could it be? is there a probability that this is in fact a severe case of tendonitis and ill need surgery? what about anti-inflamatories? is it possible to have some sort of stress fracture in the wrist? but keep in mind i can still move it, type on the computer with no problems. i plan on joining the Marine Corps in about 8-10 months, do you think that surgery would disqualify me for enlistment?
Thanks
Dave
