The last few weeks, I've noticed that I get pain during a few specific exercises. Most notably the close grip bench and squats.
With the bench, the pain is in only my right shoulder. The reason this intrigues me is because no other exercise I do, wide grip bench, incline db bench, any shoulder exercise possible, none create this pain. It's odd. To make it even more confusing to me is that after the exercise, there is absolutley no pain in the shoulder. None.
The same applies to the squat. Every time I do squats, unless I go really light (180lbs or less), there is pain in my left hip. I can do lunges, deadlifts, use the machine for leg press, anything else. But whenever I do squats, the pain is there. Last time I did squats, I decided to stop with them, and ran 5 miles instead.
So my question is this. Is it possible to have an exercise specific pain? And if not, then what is going on here??
