Yeah, I saw this vid yesterday. The guy was pretty incredible - especially when he literally just jumped up to grab the next piece of rock. Definately took some cajohes.

That being said, this guy was also an idiot. He died shortly after that film was made doing a nearly 1000 foot jump and using climbing ropes to catch his fall. He jumped, ropes broke, and...well, you can imagine what happens next. He also had an 11-year old daughter at home. Hell of a price to pay for him and his family just so he could get an adrenaline rush.

I'm not suprised that dude ended up dead. Just watching that video my teeth were clenched. What an idiot. He should have used safety procedures. That was just dangerous and gives climbing a bad name.

Literally my hands are sweating just WATCHING it. I was about to comment on it being very impressive and looking absolutely insanely dangerous and how the guy will end up dead if he keeps doing that, and it looks like exactly that happened. I agree, there are certain things you shouldn't do once you have kids, and that approach to rock climbing is one of them.

After reading your post, I unclenched my fists and realized that my hands were sweating too...

That's amazing that he was able to do that, but he's a complete idiot. One slip and he dies, and that's what happened. I feel no sympathy for him, although I feel bad for his family.

Thats crazy, its because I time my runs and I can run 1.5 miles in 11 minutes. :confused: (though I am training for the army every day)

Obviously they were joking. Everybody can WALK 400 feet in a minute or so.
