View Full Version : back pain? and exercise?

after a mess around fight i had earlier in the day yesterday, i noticed some back pain when i titled head down or when i turned to my left.

this pain was all the way down my traps, but now is just at the bottom.

i just wanted to know is it ok to do todays exercise?

bench press
chest flys
tricep curls

and would press ups be any use to add to those or is there no need?

Sounds like you pulled a muscle (trap). The three ex's you mentioned would be O'K' but I'd stay away from overhead presses of any kind till it gets better.

Bengay can help the pain if it is coming from the muscles, but it is only temporary. I tend to use it twice a day as I suffer from chronic back and leg pains as well from small accidents in the past. Try using it right before you workout, and just stick to lighter cardio and not as an intense weight training workout as you normally do. If it still hurts, stop working out and see a doctor.

well its getting better, as i said its only when i turn my head or look down.

its still there only when i look down but not in other directions.

its just getting on my nerves because i havent been able to do a full months routine because of stuff like this lol.

did 2 weeks of my routine, then caught a throat bug that stopped me for a week, then i did another week and hurt my back messin around fighting. :d_frown:
