Dude, I'm not being rude but this is your 3rd or 4th thread regarding individual foods. Do some research. I suggest you begin in the beginners forum with Marcus' nutrition guide to weight loss.

www.google.com

it's carbonated water, a preservative, flavouring and aspartame. If you have issues with aspartame then avoid it. If you don't, then drink up.

Adam - no offense, but Doordude is right. Listen, search through the forum. There are answers to all of the questions you asked already out there. And you're missing out on good information by not reading through the older posts!

Calorie-free carbonated beverages are not a good substitute for water. Unless you have problems with things like Nutrasweet, artificial, color, artificial flavor, etc., they're okay to add to your water consumption, but don't reduce your water consumption on their account. You shouldn't drink two gallons of Fresca a day. It's doesn't hydrate you nearly as well as water does.

In general, though, I find eating "diet" substitutes for foods that are bad for me doesn't help me. It's much easier and better to just give them up entirely - that way, they aren't part of your life.

If you're trying to get healthy and in shape, it's going to take big changes, not little ones. I think, to an extent, diet soda is a form of punking out on giving up soda, which is really something everybody who values his or her health should do.

I understand, especially at first I didn't like to search and stuff but topics like "diet drinks" are just so rampant on these forums I understand where DoorDude is comin' from.

You're looking for us to approve, and thats entirely understandable...here's the thing: You're going to make mistakes. With or without our help, you're going to make mistakes. If you think something is alright to eat/drink, either go with your best judgement (i.e. the nutrition facts say zero calories, so you have it and find out later its fine) and then figure out if your judgement was sound, or do the research somewhere on the net and know before hand.

Either way, mistakes will be made..its just the way of things bro..the point is to keep it rizzeal...

Adam, we don't what you to fall into the parellized by analysis dilemma. (There's some catchy way to say it but i can't remeber :D )

Instead of worrying about every detail get to work and learn things has you go. One thing about being a newbie you will respond well to just about anything. Don't get too overwhelmed with the science and nutrition at this point.

Good Luck
