Well, I decided to kill two birds with one stone. I was 6'4", 280lb about 16 months ago and decided to do some small mods to my lifestyle (ie, diet pop instead of regular pop, water instead of juice, and biking 10mins to work). So I was down to about 245lbs two weeks ago.
I sorta plateaued and I need to step it up to lose the next 30lbs so I decided to both quit smoking and join the gym. So, two weeks later and I haven't had a cig yet, and I'm still working out - but I've gained 13 lbs!!! Jeesh. I even cut out the alcohol and watched my diet (no junk food/fast food/cut down on pasta). At least I still fit in my cloths.
Does anyone else who quit smoking have any comments on how much I'm going to gain or when I can expect to actually start slimming down a bit?
