View Full Version : Thoughts on Program for Cutting and general advice

New to this forum but have been working out 3x week, very active in Bball and other cardio for a few years-would really appreciate some suggestions and advice! Here is my story:
5O years old, 6ft 1"- been lifting to maintain, get some definiton 2-3 x week for a few years- very active in Bball, some cardio. Went from 220 to 195 using low carb diet guidlines, now at 200. Want to cut and get BF% from 23% to 12-15% or lower, get weight to 185-190. Don't want to lose muscle but need to trim up and would like to get lean.Is this realistic at this stage?
Also decided to start Vince G's 8x8 to help cut with 4 day split with back and legs being 4-6 reps 2-4 sets and use 8x8 on other days for arms, chest, shoulders, etc.
Trying to keep a food log but some foods are home prepared and difficult to determine cals, fat, carbs, etc.
I am really impressed with the advice and counsel on this forum and appraciate any suggestions.
