I've been doing MAX-OT for two months now, first one month on the total gym, which doesn't really count, since you can's lift that heavy on it, and then another month using real weights after I got my bench.

Lately I've noticed that my elbows are hurting when I do my triceps, especially when doing french curls. Lowering the weight so I can do 10-15 reps really helps though, so I'm wondering if I should switch my entire program over to a 10-15 rep range for a month or so, and then gradually increase to MAX-OT again and see if it feels better then.

Any other suggestions? I defnitely want to avoid injuries this early. I'm getting really good results so far and don't want it to stop now :)

Does stretching help to prevent injuries? I haven't been doing that a whole lot... Maybe I should?

It could be a number of things. You might not be ready for Max-OT or you may have incorrect form.

If money is no object go to a physio and get it diagnosed and theyd be able to tell you exaclty what to do.

Like you said, you dont want to get any injuries so maybe you should just ease off, lower the weight and increase the reps and then progress slowly and your joints should adapt.

I just realized it might not be MAX-OT at all... I've started to play squash recently, and that's when I started to notice the pain in my right elbow as well. Funny how I didn't make that connection earlier, but after today's game it was really obvious.

Either way, I'm going to be a little bit extra careful with my arm workouts the next few weeks.
