Hi there,
I'm just trying to write a shopping list of foods that I should buy, because I find it hard to make a meal out of what I have in the house at the moment.

I'm trying to stick to eating 1500cals a day

150g carbs, 150g proteins, 33g fats.

Does this sound correct?

If so could you list foods that I can eat, which are clean.

Thanks :D

Oatmeal has been a big help to me. i eat a half cup(when dry) of oatmeal for breakfast along with my protein shake.

lean cold cuts on whole wheat bread, use mustard for condiments. no mayo. cheese if you want it.

veggies, lean beef, chicken, limit the fruit(sugars) lots of drinking water

all in all, the biggest help for me was using oatmeal for breakfast, it is a low calorie food that is very healthy and keeps you filled up. i use brown sugar ( not too much) for flavor.

if you have to get fast food sometime, go with a grilled chicken whopper at burger king, take off the top bun and use mustard. drink water

these are just a few ideas, nothing too intricate, hope it helps

More depends on what you enjoy eating, it would be pretty silly for me to suggest tuna if you hated it ;)

Generally speaking however, use your better judgment, look for lean cuts of meat (You'll recognize them by the marbling (fat) in the cut), all types of fish (Salmon, Tuna, Flounder, Mackeral, sardines, etc..), Chicken breasts (however even the dark meat is not terrible as long as it fits into your daily macros because it's juicier, tastier and has it's fair share of good fats).

If you have a butcher, you can get bison meat which is extremely good as well.

Plenty of vegetables, now for optimal fat loss, it's recommended that you avoid high carb diets, so veggies like Peppers, Mushrooms, Celery, Cucumber, Lettuce, Romaine, Radishes, Bok Choy are all very good, and also lower end carbs.

Broccoli is a moderate carb veggie, but it's extremely fibrous and filling, so overall, it's great in your diet if you find yourself frequently hungry.

You also don't want to eliminate good fats, so be sure to get some olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, or you can get them from peanuts, almonds, etc...

Really, there are so many good foods you can use, so just use common sense and i'm sure you'll be fine, remember, if it's not natural, don't get it!

for me, i generally keep a clean diet and eat less of everything when i'm cutting. stuff on my grocery list:

oatmeal
peanut butter
brown rice
eggwhites
a lot of green veggies
chicken breast
cottage cheese
ground turkey

gotta like what you eat in order to be able to stick with it :tucool:
1500 sounds low, but what is your height/weight?
