You can probably tell I don't post a lot here, but let me first say congratulations on your decision to change your life. I can simply say that I have been in your shoes many times and I just want to give you a heads up to help keep you going.

At the beginning of every weight loss decision you're feeling motivated, pumped, and enthused about finally taking the weight off. You suddenly change your diet and begin to excercise, and for a couple weeks you're right on the ball.

Here is what has happened to me plenty of times:

1. You slowly start to lose motivation, you cut your workouts in half, do half-assed exercises and eventually stop exercising altogether.
2. You start adding in little treats back into your diet. You figure one kit kat wont hurt, so you endulge. slowly one turns to 2 and 2 kit kats turns into lunch at McDonalds and that turns into a post-holloween candy orgy.
3. You see your beginning results dissapear and you even gain back more weight than you started at, you become depressed and eat to cope, gaining even more weight.

I'm not trying to discourage, I'm just trying to tell you what to watch out for. Keep on working out, keep eating right, don't add back candy or other bad foods and you will meet your goal sooner than you think.

There are going to be days when you just want to quit, give up and go back to eating whatever you want, but you have to stay strong and recommit yourself to getting in shape and living a healthier happier life. I wish you the best of luck, and be sure to visit the beginners board and post your progress here so we can give you furthur motivation.

Thanks alot man. I gotta do this while im young,(15 years old) That's good information. I'll make sure not to say "Hey one thing wont hurt"
Im really going to try as hard as possible and show those assholes at school not to refer to me as the fat kid and make jokes.

I'm not aiming to beat them up or anying but more of getting more fit then them,Making them look bad. I'm just sick of it. I made this decision shortly after made a comment infront of the girl I've liked for 3 years.

I think I have more then enough motivation to pull me through and be the best most fittest kid in my grade, age group.

My family is'nt the richest so I cant afford gyms so I'm going to push myself when doing crunches, push ups, lifting some weights my brother got for me and seeing how that total gym I got from a garage sale does for me.

Again man thanks. I have said to myself yesterday when we celebrated thanksgiving Hm Desert wouldnt hurt. But thank god I stopped myself.

Anyways this is me At the moment. :db: :db: :db: :db: :bb: :bb: :bb::bb::bb::bb::bb::bb::bb: :flex: :flex:

once u set a goal u cant back out from it. u wont back out.
it will take a great deal of will power to accomplish what u want. but dont despair because think of all the people u'll impress.

take pictures to track ur progress and impress urself.
lose the weight, lose the insecurities. gain muscle and gain confidence. motivate all the people around you who are just like u now. u cant give up because u wont be letting urself down, u'll be letting down all those u motivated. once u start ur not just pulling urself towards the better life, ur pulling people around u.

and wont it feel good knowing u inspired and motivated someone?
i bet it will.

thats why u cant give up and wont give up.

;) just like john. :gl:

Those people that say that now will be the fat ones after graduation. I am now 25 and when I see the people that used to say stuff like that when I was in high school are overweight, fat, and some just plain obese. So man just "KEEP ON KEEPING ON" and before you know you be lean and "RIPPED".

Nice that you noticed,LOL I love those boxers...so comfortable *Ackward moment* lol

I went for 2 walks today pretty damn far.

Just got back from serenity and that movie was amazing. Very good.

Anyways Im gonna go do some weight lifting. Hey is there such thing as too much because I wanna push my arms to the limit but am afraid somthign can happen. Can somone assure me that there is'nt too much. and if there is it would be HARD to reach it.

of course there is such a thing as too much, lifting weight which are much too heavy for you can make your form wrong. also working for too long in the gym can actually make you lose muscle or not gain as much. Try and get familar and get used to the exercise and workout under 60 min when hitting the gym.

3 exercise per muscle group is usually enough...just keep the intensity high.

3 sets of 6-8 reps with high intensity
if u do too much u'll hurt urself then u have to rest and stop lifting for a bit. which will set u back
