Decided to end my old thread; it was getting a little stale. I've decided this is a time of great change in my life, not just physically but emotionally and socially.
I think I'm going to make my goals pretty simple and easy to follow. Focus on them day by day, and not get bogged down looking too far in the future. Day by day goals are:
45 min of A.M. cardio every day
Weight training at home on Titan 5 days/week (S,T,Th,F,S)
Eat 6 meals/day
Walk dog for 30 min (A.M or P.M.) 5 days/week (S,M,W,F,S)
Heavy bag work on Titan 3 days/week
My other goals are more long term, and they are the most difficult ones to keep track of. Some of them include:
Get involved in sport of some type
Complete Toastmasters CTM (Currently 10% complete)
Move into management track in career
The career one will probably be the most difficult. By trade, I am a network engineer/architect. I've been doing this for awhile, and I feel I've peaked. I've had a CCIE (cisco-type certification) for awhile, and I just completed my MBA. MY current position hasn't really offered any real challenges for awhile, and I want to move out of the purely technical realm into a management role. I'm speaking to a director in another part of my company next week, and I think he might have something for me. It's not a direct management role, but heavy project management. I think its a step in the right direction.
Another goal of mine is to update this every day at least in regards to the progress of my goals.
