I am new to this forum and am really interested in what most of you have to say. Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. Sorry, if I'm not. I do have a question and since it sounds like most of you know what you are talking about maybe you can help me. I read the Guide to Nutrition thread and that sounds like a great plan for me. Eating is my biggest problem :eat: . My question is, what sort of strength/cardio plan should I do with this eating plan to get the best results? I really want to drop my BF% and become more toned and stronger. I've been working out on and off for about 4-5 years (weights and cardio), but I've just been doing enough to get the exess baby weight off. I had my 2 girls with back to back pregnancies . My stats are this
Sex: female
weight: 139 lbs
height: 5'5"
BF: +/- 30%
measurements: I can't bring myself to write them, sorry!
I am very familiar with weight training :bb: . I just don't know how to put together an effective routine. I can give about 1 hour 45 mins per day to exercise (except Sundays). What sort of routine can I do to get toned and drop my BF to a safe percentage or even lower? I do have a gym membership so I have access to most equipment and I am familiar with most equipment and moves. Thanks!

Hi Rene,
I noticed that you posted this question in my thread and after some thought I went to answer and your post was gone! :)
This is probably a better place for it though, you'll get a variety of opinions.
As long as you really perfect your diet (or close enough) you dont need to train like a 'madwoman' to achieve desirable results. Also, I believe that 1 hour and 45 mins is too long. I personally dont train for more than 1 hour.
You dont need to train more than 5 days per week and you could get away with 4. You sound pretty motivated so lets say 5. For example you could do weights 3 days per week (e.g Mon, Wed, Fri) and cardio about 4 days per week.
With regard to weights you may be best with a full body program or a split program. You sound like you have some experience so maybe you should experiment and see what works best. With regard to Women's training, this is a great site (and not just for women):
http://stumptuous.com/weights.html
That site has basically everything you need to know. In fact I went through it a while ago when Justitia posted it and I even learnt something new to incorporate into my program.
Especially see the page listed 'workouts' from the site that lists the different weight training programs you can do. Pick one according to your training experience (remember there is not a right or wrong choice here) and incoroporate it into your program. Lets say your weight training program requires 3 days (depending on what you pick it could require 2 or 4) and your program should look something like this.
Monday: Cardio 30mins, Weights 30mins
Tuesday: Cardio: 40-50 mins
Wednesday: Weights 30mins
Thurday: Cardio 40-50mins
Friday: Cardio - 30mins Weights 30 mins.
Remember that you need to continually 'tweak' your program for your individual needs and that you dont need to train like a psycho. Hope this helps (or vice versa that I'm not just stating the obvious).

I was reading about Einstein the other day and came across one of his most famous quotes thats rather similar. I cant remember exactly but it goes something like this:
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe". :)
