Coconut oil is a wonderful thing. Just be sure you get virgin, organic coconut oil, or don't waste your time. Oil is so easily ruined by high heat/chemical processing. If it doesn't smell like fresh coconuts then it's been ruined by processing.
Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil- THE BEST! (http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/)
This is my favorite. I get the 1 gallon size w/free shipping. It rocks- tastes like fresh coconut and is great for cooking as well as supplementation.
I don't think it matters when you take it. I take it with my 1st and last meals. It would probably be good preworkout for energy and in a PWO shake. I think I'll try that. :gl:

I could understand preworkout....but in the PWO shake might be a bad time to add a fat.

Well the whole idea as to why you'd be doing a PWO shake is that you want to shuttle in protein to be available for muscular repair as soon as possible, PROVIDED....your workout was hard.....you are depleted and in an anabolic state. Fats will delay the emptying of stomach contents ( your PWO shake )holding up the uptake of protein and carbs. Fats are better served in a PPWO meal (1 - 2 hours later).

Actually, a little fat is beneficial. It increases the insulin response. A few grams are typically included because it's not so much that it will significantly slow digestion, but enough to improve the insulin response.
