How many protein shakes do you consume per day? Currently I only consume a protein shake PWO with dextrose.

However, I am starting my bulking phase and I am thinking of incorporating a protein shake with 250ml skim milk every morining along with my oats etc.

Is this a viable option? Or am I going to waste my protein powder?

One to three, depending on the day, how busy I am, and how much food I've prepped... usually I have two a day.

Thanks for the speedy response.

The main reason I am thinking of incorporating an additional protein shake is for convenience. Im a uni student and it sucks trying to eat truck loads of food at school due to class clashes, timetable changes etc. So I intend to eat 600+ calories for my breakfast as this will hold me in good stead for the remainder of the day.

Also, for you PWO shake do you include any 'good' fats? Is extra virgin olive oil considered to be a 'good' fat?

TIA

Extravirgin olive oil is a great fat :tucool: Just....keep it far away from your PWO shake. ;)

Your PWO shake shouldn't include any fat whatsoever... just protein/carbs.

I don't get concerned if I have a day that's heavy on the protein shakes. It sometimes happens... I'm busy, my day goes at a hundred miles an hour... and sometimes I can't stop to heat up or make food during the day. Do the best you can with what you have - and if that means several protein shakes per day, so be it.

Put me in for 2-3 mostly ATW blend w/ water (scoop and a half 33g) but sometimes with skim milk..it's just so much better with milk :) not that it isn't the best Whey with water..but the milk makes it a treat :)..
I usually use it with Skim on the Weight/Cardio days and just water on cardio only days.. and only the PWO shake
