Hi all,

Had a browse round now it's my time to ask for advice :D

Ok.. I used to be very active in sports, football (soccer), swimming, tennis , golf but I stoped when I got a full time job and found it hard to find time to carry on doing them sports. I still play golf once a week.
Anyway I wouldn't say I'm overweight just not toned. I'm not interested in being really really bulky that side of it doesn't interest me at all. I just want to get toned and get rid of my little beer belly lol.

So what are the best things to do to get toned?
I have weights I use daily which have increased the muscle in my arms. I have a tread mill I use 4x a week for 10 minutes a time,
I do watch what I eat but the main concern is I do like to go out and get drunk a few times a week in my mates lol

So anyone got any advice how I can tone up my body without going to the gym (using the equpment I have)

Would like all advice avaible please :)

What is your age, weight and height. Why can't you use a real gym?

19, I weigh 11 stone 1. I could join a gym but would prefer to work out at home as I don't think I could find time to go to the gym on a daily basis to be honest.

What equipment do you have at home and what does your current routine look like?

At 19, how are you so busy you can't find time to make it to the gym for 30-45 mins, 3-4x/week?

that's cool. do you have heavy things around your house?
do the basic movements with those heavy objects.
+ deadlift your TV or something.
+ hold two milk jugs at your sides and do lateral raises.
+ etc...

also, read this to learn how to do it.

edit: i agree with karate - you can easily find time to go to a gym.
you say you go out drinking a few times a week?
how about go once every friday night, and the rest of the times go to the gym.

maybe even get your friends to join the gym with you instead of going out.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

Yes I have a few kinds of weights I use, sets of dumbells, a big bar, and some like the below

some like the above picture, with many different weights to adjust etc..

If I carry on doing the weights and running daily would I see big changes?

What else can you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance!!

What else can you guys suggest?
Get a gym membership.
You want to tone - that's how you do it.

Also, follow the dietary advice given in that link i posted earlier, and limit your alcohol drinking to once every 2 weeks.
Now you'll have extra freetime for going to the gym.

Here it is again...

...and dont worry about getting "big and bulky"... it's not too easy to do....
