I figured out my BMR=1196 calories a day to loss 1 pound a day.
I am 22, 4'11" so I know I don't need a lot of food but I always heard that no one should ever eat less than 1200 a day.

And did you factor in activity? Or is that just your BMR at rest?

I currectly weigh 136, and I did factor 3-5 days of working out. I basically followed the formula in the sticky for beginners.

A commonly used figure is 8-10 times your weight in lbs. So somewhere between 1088 and 1360 calories could be about right for you. Just make sure you don't go any lower or your body could think there's a famine - NOT ideal if you want to keep your muscle.

If choosing between 8 or 10 times bodyweight I'd start at 10 and then readjust if your results are not what you need. It's better to start slow than fast. Personally I go for 12Xbodyweight and weight flies off at that...
