Hello everybody,
(sorry for long story)
I am a college student currently 20 yrs old and also new to the forums.
I've started my workout in 2005 of May. I know nothing about workout really. I was told that running was the fastest fat burner so thats what I did. I was at 145 LBS at 5'4. So what I did was run 2 miles everyday. From monday to friday. Soon I cut down my runnings and only did 3 days per week. I ran the mile in 5-6 mins and 2 miles in about 10 or so. After awhile I was at 130 LBS and it wasnt possible to drop another pound. I was pretty satisfied because my heart was in a really good condition. I wasnt able to run a 5-6 min mile time before I started to work out. But the thing that bugged me was that I still had fat in my mid section of the stomach. Also, I was weak and wanted to get stronger.
A year later... I went out to GNC and bought the 100% whey protein. The workers there told me that I should GNC CLA because it help burns the "brown fat" (never heard of) in the mid section of the stomach. Me, a true sucker went and buy it anyways.
My schedule now is:
Monday- free weights (curl ups, butterflies, and other things, sorry not good with working out terms). I have a universal gym and dumbbells only. Its all in my home. No money for gym. Also, im doing at least 66+ push-ups within 1 min because im going to the AFROTC and they require that.
Tuesday - run outside 1 mile (in 5-6 mins)
Wednesday - freeweights
Thursday - run outside 1 mile (in 5-6 mins)
Friday - freeweights
I thought it was going great at first. Taking the CLA and protein together. I drank the protein 1 time per day before workout and 3 pills of CLA.
In highschool and up to before I worked out, I could only bench 135 LBS max. So now after awhile I decided to see how much I can bench. I benched 160 LBS! I was suprised. Also, I was up to 147 LBS now from 130 LBS. The problem here is that when I look into the mirror, I see that my lower stomach has love handles. It never show this much before! Is the protein doing this to me?
So it would be really awesome if I could get an advice on what to do? My stomach looks totally messed up on the bottom. I've began doing sit ups hoping that it will go away soon.
