Try using an EZ curl bar or dumbells.

Apart from using the E-Z curl bar, bicep curls are the ex I always do dead last in workouts. That way everything is super-warmed up and somewhat pre-fatigued so don't have to use as much weight but still get the results for growth.

right off the top, make sure your wrists are straight when curling. If you can't keep them straight while curling you may want to incorporate some wrist curls and rev. wrist curls into your program. :gl:

I only get sore wrists when I'm not keeping them straight.

As far as forearms being sore, it looks like forearms are secondary muscles worked, depending on what type of curls you are doing. Check here. (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.php?MainMuscle=Biceps)

I think I'm in the minority on this one - I actually find my wrists getting more soreness from the EZ bar as opposed to the straight bar (probably because I have used the straight bar most of my life).

I can go quite heavy with the EZ but if I want to go REALLY heavy I have to use the dumbells.

I, too, don't experience the problem. I can use the other bars also, but prefer a straight bar.
