sorry if this is the wrong place to put just a quick Q since i was browsing here and thought of it, plus a search didn't do much help!
if my LBM = 137 lbs and my current BF is at 17% and i weigh 165 what is my 10% BF weight?
what is the formula for this?
thanks!

In a perfect world the equation would be:
BF% = (Total Weight - LBM)/(Total Weight)
But you're assuming the trek to that 10% comes at no cost of LBM. I'd wager you could get within a couple pounds though.
In your case it'd be somewhere between 152 and 153 assuming you lost no lean mass.

well if you weighed 165 and had 10%bf you would have 148.50 lbm
but if you weighed 137 and had 10%bf you would have 123.30 lbm

I agree here. More than likely, you'll only maintain what lean mass you already have. You may put on a pound or two in lean mass, though that still puts your body weight at around 152~154-lbs. Basically, it's:
(Existing Lean Body Mass) / (1 - BF% Desired) = Overall Body Weight
So, 137/(1-0.1) = 152.2.
There ya have it.

thank you guys! today just completed week 2 of SGX, remained at 165.4 however according to my measurements using mybodycomp.com my LBM is as follows
LBM 136.93.... 139.95... 17.51%
FAT 29.07...... 25.45.... 15.39%
its turning out to be as much of a bulk as a cut!.. reason i asked was because i wasn't sure where i'd likely have to be in terms of weight range however if i continue at this pace i may be somewhere in between the number you gave me and the number i'm currently at... and it puts less legitimacy to any wieght figure given i am losing and gaining.. anyway thanks again!

Dude - you are a mathmatical monster. I thought about this for like an hour trying to hit that formula - and I was so close but missed the 1 - %BF desired piece!
ARGH!!! ;)
