Hi everyone!

I can't use dairy for my protein sources and am running out of ideas to eat my 5 or 6 meals a day. Never a shortage of ideas on carbs...just protein, especially, midmorning and midafternoon. Can't really stomach a can of tuna or sardines at that time of day and being a work, I need something easy. :p Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch,
Danielle

I have a 50g bag of roasted soya nuts

214 kCals
19g protein
20g carbs
7g fat (only 2.7g saturated)

They are a great snack and around the 40/40/20 range.

My boyfriend eats deli-sliced turkey at work. He eats it alone but you could probably create a "wrap" with a big leaf of lettuce.

Since they're not pork you don't have to cook 'em. Just take one or two in a ziplock baggie to work. By the time you're hungry they should be mostly thawed. If you want 'em hot, just nuke it! That assumes you have a microwave at work... if you don't I've got nuthin :(

I was at costco the other day and they had chicken breast packaged in cans just like tuna. I picked some up to try it but have not done so yet. Also, beef jerky is a good lowfat protein snack and my wife likes to take dried smoked salmon to work and that is pretty good as well.

cold chicken or turkey is always great, also try eating some nuts, they have EFA's and protein!

My Costco also sells Turkey burgers comprised of 26 g protein, 4 g carbs, 0 g fat if I remember correctly. I cook up a weeks worth and set in the fridge for a snack. Just pop in the microwave for two minutes and they're done although a tad rubbery. Good and quick.

What about protien shake mix. I like O.N. it has 23 grams of protien , a Pro Blen 55. It has 55 grams protien per serving. Mix these with water. Its quick and easy.
