View Full Version : Faux- Cottage Cheese Coulis

So I'm making lamb and couscous for myself and a girl tonight, and I was debating what to do for a garnish/dip for the lamb...

So here's what I've come up with:

1/2 a cup of cottage cheese
1tblspn olive oil
a few sprigs of chives and dill
maybe a few teaspoons of water to thin it out as well

I'm going to use my trusty food processor and make this wicked coulis :)
I thought i'd share since I think it could easily be used by itself or with pretzels :)!

Your recipe sounds yummy. Don't know if it's too late, but what about a bit of lemon juice instead of water to thin it?

I will whip up anything with cottage cheese. My favorite being 1 Tbsp of natty peanut butter. I dip a sliced apple into it.

If I had lemon juice I totally would have do that....as is, it turned out GREAT! (my date didn't go so well, but I take a lot more pride in my cooking ability than my dating skills so I was VERY proud of the meal I made).
