Alright, I started eating healthy at 235 pounds, a week of that got me down to 227, I joined the website, a week of changing to the 40/40/20 (as best I could w/ a few cheats due to quiting smoking) I got down to 225. I know that weight changes throughout the day, and since I hit 225, I've ate clean... I've done more cardio more weight lifting and more crunches... I seem to be bouncing between 225-and 231/2 but mostly staying closer to the 230 area... my stomach has shrunk a little, that I can tell...but how come I dont really ever see my 225 again or under that :P Is there a possibility that I will never really come down much in weight if I am building mass? Or am I just getting unlucky with a slow week?

Don't worry. Unscientifically, it seems to me that exercise can bind water in your muscles and makes it seem as if you're losing any weight, but you are actually indeed losing fat. In my case, aside from pre/post workout fluctuations my weight is pretty constant throughout the week of exercising, but after Sunday's rest (and non-binge) day I'm magically lighter. :)

Just keep at it-- as long as you're eating clean and at a calorie deficit, there's no way it wouldn't work.

Nah, you should still be able to lose more fat. You've just hit a plateau. It's all about diet. What's yours. Calories and food choices? Training's also important. What's your lifting program look like?

Right now I'm at about 2400 cal / 2600 cal a day

I do a 1/2 hour of hard cardio on my bmx bike in a hilly area (hilly on the way back mostly) but if I hit a hill, I hold the breaks down, sit down and peddle hard to the bottom of it...

This started as of this past Saturday

Monday: Cardio + Abs
Tuesday: Weight training: back & biceps
Wednesday: Cardio + Abs
Thursday: Weight training: quads, calves, hamstrings
Friday: Cardio + Abs
Saturday: Weight training: pecs, delts, triceps
Sunday: Cardio + Abs 1

My diet was changed after I lost most of that 10 pounds, which confuses me, I ate even cleaner... I dont see why I'd plateu so fast?! When most of my working out started after the 225 and the new diet as well :| but like I said.. I constantly feel like my stomach is getting smaller...

I would not say that you have hit a plateu... you just started, you need to give your body some time to adjust to your new diet.. one week is not long enough to expect a change, be patient and you will see the fat come off... just remember that as your gaining muscle as well as losing fat that you might not see a change in the scale every week, especially since you are relatively new to the diet and weight training... good luck and keep us posted. :gl:

in addition, I would not take pictures every week if I were you... that can only lead to discouragement... take pictures every two weeks, or once a month ;)

Chameleon is right. I have lost half a pound to 1 1/2 pounds a week and it has been like 75 weeks. Imagine how much patience I had to have in order to be satisfied with my weight. A year and a few months! And I'm still not completely satisfied!

So yeah, just have some patience and concentrate on your diet and exercise plan and soon the pounds will just come off like nothing.

Yeah, I dont expect to lose much more then 2-4/5 pounds a week, I just read another thread that you posted in and you are extremely lighter then me :P and your goal of 135-140 is about 100 pounds less then where I started.... I should be able to lose fat/weight a little bit faster then you :)

As far as the picture updates go, once a week is better for me (I mean shit I see my body in the mirror everday) but any SLIGHT change will be motivation and no change will be motivation to work harder... at least thats how I see it.

I have alot of free time since my job is part time, I usually get home before 1pm, I'm wondering if I should start doing 2 cardio sessions a day.

why do you think you can lose faster than someone else?? more than 1-2 lbs of fat loss is not advisable... I can happen but you can and probably will develop lose (hanging) skin if you lose weight too fast... and if you want to frustrate yourself by taking picture's weekly... have at it... but if you do things the right way you may get VERY frustrated really quick if you expect overnight success... you didn't put the weight on overnight so don't expect it come off that fast

Well looking at pics of John Stone, he had a huge change in size in 2 months, and http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/charlie1.htm , just makes me think with the time I have... I can be doing better... and isnt it easier for someone with more weight/bf to lose weight then it is for someone who's alot smaller? o_O
