Hi everybody,

I get up at 7:30 - 8:00 every morning. I'm at work from 9:00 - 5:00, and then I work from 5:30 - 10:30 on a writing project at another office. I'm home around 11:00, so I spend a good part of my day (and all my meals) away from home.

While I'm keeping this hectic schedule, what do you recommend as far as food goes? Is it realistic to pack enough food to haul around all day? I've been falling into the fast-food trap in the evenings, simply because doing the prep on so many meals is such a chore.

I need to just buck up and do it, I know. Is anyone else in this situation? Any tips on packing a full day's worth of food, every single day?

Well if this helps you out, I tote 4 meals with me to work. Actually I tote one lunch box full of food and 1 lunch box full of bottled water.

My schedule is 4pm to 4am with 40 minutes drive time to and from. So basically I wake up at 1230pm, work out, shower, grab oatmeal and a shake, head out the door to work and then I simply talked to my boss and worked out my breaks to accomidate me going back to the office to grab a bite to eat.

Yup-

I bought a medium-sized soft-sided cooler and a freezer pack. I pack four or so meals. After a while you get pretty efficient about it.
