Some would argue that if you do it early in the morning it will help your fat loss capabilities tremendously. If you exercise in a fasted state during the evenings...then we have problems. You should be eating In any case, if you do cardio early in the morning, one of the postitive benefits is that since you have very low glucose in your body (your body has pretty much used up all during the night), it will be forced to use fat as a primary source of energy. Granted, you will still suffer a degree of catabolism [sic], and lose a small degree of muscle, but the fat loss will be much higher than doing cardio at any other time. In conclusion, you should do what works best for you. I think you will find cardio in the morning to be very beneficial, as I have and many others including Mr. Stone himself, but that is up to you to decide. I used to do it in a fasted state but then started adding some light weight training beforehand and I figured I should probably start eating before. But who said intense cardio is good in a fasted state?
