I got about 2 hours of sleep today. I work the night shift and get home around 9 am. I spend some time with the kids(4) and then head off to bed. On occasion they wake me up screaming and such but for the most part I get decent sleep.
Today my in-laws came over to have dinner but wanted to come early to play with the kids so they got here about 1 pm. I had just got to bed at about noon and by 2 pm I was woke up by my daughter throwing a fit in the backyard.
Now, I got a cardio workout due today. Should I attempt to do it with such little sleep?
I would go to sleep now and wake up later to do it but I have class tonight and wont get home till late.
What should I do?

Do it, only if you feel up to it.
No offense, but you gotta use some common sense..

How extreme are you taking your cutting? Have you promised yourself that you wouldn't miss a workout for a specified time? Are you three days away from an important weigh in? Only you know your personal goals and personal promises you've made to yourself.
I read on here once the John never missed a session during his first weight loss even one day when he went to the ER. He came home and did the workout after the ER. For him it was important because he was going 100% balls out :db: (no offense). I personally can't do that. Sometimes I miss a workout.
So it really is up to you. If you are looking at this from a John Stone perspective (early cutting days) then get your butt on the bike. If you are looking at this as a slow and steady marathon - a change of lifestyle, then get some sleep.

I was recently missing out on sleep due to long work hours, and at the same time getting extra stress. My gym sessions immediately suffered very badly. With the lack of sleep and the stress combined with my calorie deficit, it felt as if the equation could not add up.
I therefore decided, reluctantly, to rest from exercise for a week. No cardio and no lifting during that time.
Now I'm back at the gym and feeling better.
I have a theory that sometimes it's not worthwhile running yourself into the ground.
