The Sony PSP comes out here in the UK on 1st September. I wasnt even bothered about this until I saw the pre order adverts in all the shops.........now the evil PSP voices are in my head telling me to buy one! :D

Does anyone have one or played on one? Are they worth getting? I'm not a games buff by any means I have a PS2 that I play occasionally but they just look good! And I have an urge to get one........ :drool:

Maybe I could play it on the exercise bike!!!! :confused:

Yeah I borrowed one from a friend and felt cool going into a store in the UK asking for a power adapter for a PSP in the sony store. The woman at least pretended to know what it was.

In any case, they are awesome. They are as cool as you think they are. See one in person and you'll be in awe. At least I was. I don't travel much so I have no need for one. If you don't travel it would really be a waste of money (you won't want to exercise with it I don't think), but if you travel or commute in a train or something it would be an awesome purchase.

I bought one for my son for his birthday on the 11th - it is VERY COOL! He also has a Nintendo DS and I think the PSP is much better.

Loading time is only a problem when you switch the game all the time...you can turn off the game in the middle and it'll go back to where it was within a second when you turn it on. I think so at least, I don't have one, I was just using my cousin's. I'm not sure if this is actually a sort of "standby mode" or if you have to save for it to work. I don't have one right now because they're expensive, and I don't know how much I'd use it other than maybe when I'm on the road. But...they are pretty awesome, so if you think you'll use it, buy it. I'd definitely like one, just don't need it right now.

i wanted to get one but the price made me stop, plus with the ps3 just around the corner i held off on it.
