Hey everybody. I'm going to just go right off the bat. I'm 14, a Freshmen football player (season was 4-2). I will be 15 in early May. Right now as you know it's March and school starts again in mid-August. I was Defensive Lineman and while I liked it, it doesn't cut it. I want to be a Linebacker. I'm 6'1-6'2, 185 pounds. When I took my BF% in Spetember, it was 22 (!!). I never thought I was that fat...

Here is my plan, it's probably bad because I havn't done this before. Jog 20-40 minutes, 3 days in the morning on empty stomach. I'm thinking Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Then I will work out after school with the football team on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Saturdays I will take a break.

I was roaming BB.com's forums and here and I realised basically If you want to cut you need to take your calories and subtract by 500, and do cardio. I got this number: 1350 - 1720 Calories.

Meal 1: Oats with milk. 2xeggs whites
Meal 2: Some kind of Nutragrain bar (??)
Meal 3: Chicken, tune and some salad
Meal 4: Another Nutragrain (??)
Meal 5: Turkey or Chicken with some fruit and some egg whites.

Please help and tell me if this seems good or not. I need advice before I attempt. This is my last ask of help. Crappy pictures for you just in case:

My freshman year of high school, I was 5'8 or so, 160 lbs. I also played football, and I was an offensive lineman my first year (I don't know why either). Anyways, I trained, grew an inch and gained 10 lbs, which was a killer for me in high school.

For football, I would not suggest going on any sort of cutting plan. If your program is anything like mine was, we were working from 2:30pm until 6 or 7 at night, every night. That's going to burn a ton of calories, and if you restrict your food intake, you'll probably just be sick.

Instead, I would suggest a high calorie, high protein diet. With all the exercise you're getting, in addition to your natural metabolism, you'll undoubtedly lose a large percentage of your weight during practice. You may want to get some weight gain powder during the season- I used to mix mine with chocolate ice cream and I couldn't gain a pound, but nor did I lose weight.

If you want to lose body fat, just switch to healthy foods, rather than cutting back- I think the exercise you're doing will do the rest

i reccomend u bulk for a month and then do the cutting. if u are strong enough, then cut. Get rid of the bars and use some powder. During practice keep routine, but add cals in form of protein to offset practice

There's basically 2 kinds of powder I would recommend. One is a gainer type powder- one that has lots of calories- usually carbs and protein together- as from http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/gainers.htm This is the kind of stuff you should use if you're going to be running around all day in practice

The other would be a protein powder, probably a whey powder http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/whey.html This has fewer calories, but more of it is protein, which is good if you're lifting weights.

Check out the whole www.bodybuilding.com site for information- they seem to have a lot of it regarding supplements.
